The Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel held a meeting with Indian Ambassadors posted in 15 countries and 11 Vice Chancellors of renowned State Universities of Uttar Pradesh at Raj Bhavan, Lucknow, in October 2022, in which detailed discussions were held regarding educational exchanges with established universities in different countries. The main objective of the meeting was to sensitise the Vice-Chancellors to establish and foster relationships with prestigious foreign Institutions for strengthening academic and research rigour through international collaborations and cooperations. The world is changing very fast with advent of globalization and ultramodern technologies; therefore, providing global exposure to students and faculty to better equip themselves for the changing global paradigms and hosting foreign students and faculty to learn Indian programs, culture, values, and practices for better understanding the emergence of India.
On this occasion, the ambassadors of different countries shared their views about the educational needs and characteristics of their respective countries. In this sequence, the Vice Chancellors of the universities talked about the efforts being made for educational upgradation in their respective universities and discussed the possibilities of exchange of education and technology with other countries.
